Naja, soweit so gut, auch wenn ich die DB im root ausführe, bekomme ich erneut eine Fehlermeldung, die wie folgt aussieht:

auch dazu steht bereits in diesem Beitrag die Lösung

du musst die db_install.php ein bischen anpassen .. dann klappts.
