hossa.. nuja, mit phpmyadmin wirst du dann auch nicht weit kommen.

Versuch´s ma damit.
Das Backup (benenne es dump.sql) muss dann auf dem Server in einem Ordner /dump liegen.

okay. ich habe jetzt folgendes gemacht:

datenbank hochgeladen
verzeichnis /dump erstellt
datei in dump.sql umbenannt und ind as /dump verzeichnis kopiert

meine offenen fragen sind noch:

was muss ich jetzt genau machen?
muss ich eine php datei mit dem text erstellen?

wenn ja, wo kommt die hin, wie führe ich die aus usw.
danke schonmal für die hilfe bisher, das hat mich schonmal sehr weitergebracht. ich muss jetzt eigentlich nur noch GENAU wissen, wie ich sozusagen die derzeitige forendatenbank mit dem backup überschreibe.

Den Code musst du als irgendwas.php abspeichern und in den /dump Ordner kopieren.. und dann ausführen.
Vorher musst du aber noch die Bereiche, die beim Link blaumarkiert sind, mit deinen Werten ersetzen (Passwort, DB-Name etc.).

ich probiere gerade das zu machen, was du noch zu der anleitung hinzugeschrieben hast, mit der pfad.php. allerdings scheitert die ganze sache bei mir schon am ausführen der datei.
also ich erstelle eine datei irgendwas.php mit dem text drin und gebe dann einfach den passenden pfad in den browser?

das hab ich jetzt gemacht. und der überschreibt dann die alten datenbanken des forums? müssen da die pfade übereinstimmen? der wie "kriegt der das raus" wo was ersetzt wird???

Es ist ein Fehler aufgetreten. mist. irgendwas mache ich wohl noch falsch :(

Mhhh. Hab gerade versucht phpmyadmin zu installieren.
Host, Username und Kennwort habe Ich wie in der Dokummentation beschrieben, angepasst.

Doch Ich bekomm' da folgende Fehlermeldung:

Willkommen bei phpMyAdmin 2.5.4


phpMyAdmin hat versucht eine Verbindung zum MySQL-Server aufzubauen, jedoch hat dieser die Verbindung zurückgewiesen. Sie sollten Ihre Einstellungen für Host, Benutzername und Kennwort in Ihrer config.inc.php überprüfen und sich vergewissern, dass diese den Informationen, welche sie vom Administrator erhalten haben, entsprechen.

Fehler

MySQL meldet:


#2002 - Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)


Kann mir jemand weiterhelfen? Weiß nicht was Ich falsch gemacht habe...

Chrissi, ich meinte eigentlich Puto. ;) Du hattest zur selben Zeit, wie ich gepostet.

Hast du die Zugangsdaten korrekt in die config.inc.php eingetragen? Bei dem Code, den du gepostet hattest (das nächste mal BBcode benutzen, und auch nich soviel an Code posten ;)) fehlte einiges.
