Reihenfolge der der Unterkategorien ändern - wie?!

hallo zusammen,

ich habe jetzt simple subforums installiert, läuft auch wunderbar ohne probleme, allerdings möchte ich eine sache ändern.

die unterkategorien stehen ja standartmässig über den themen, ich möchte das gerne andersherum, erst themen, dann unterkategorien haben. was muss ich da ändern?

klappt auch recht gut, aber wenn in einer kategorie nur in einer unterkategorie ein beitrag ist, wird nur die leere hauptkategorie angezeit.

was habe ich falsch gemacht?
