captcha plugin fehlermeldung

installation des deutschen boards von hier (phpBB-3.0.7-PL1-deutsch.zip) und administration lief bisher problemlos http://nez.froesch.bplaced.net/
bisher habe ich nur den automod installiert, sonst keine mods.
doch mir ist aufgefallen, dass die einstellung zu den CAPTCHA-Modul-Einstellungen im adminbereich nicht möglich ist:
mehr erscheint nicht. ein nochmaliges überschreiben/hochladen der functions.php sowie dem kompletten captcha ordner brachte keine abhilfe. ich will nicht hoffen das es in irgendeiner weise am hoster liegt... kann es nen rechteproblem mit chmod sein?
nun probierte ich ob die registrierung von usern problemlos verläuft und da wieder ein fehler.
fehlermeldung die über dem header erscheint nachdem man auf "ich bin mit diesen bedingungen einverstanden" geklickt hat:
