hallo,

unser board läuft auf 2.0.3 mit einigen mods, wie z.b. nickpages, last topic mod, statistiken, mini statistiken, attachment mod, chat mod von smartor, usw.
ausserdem haben wir das template dark blue komplett farblich geändert und die buttons alle neu gemacht.
nun soll man ja möglichst mit aktuellen phpbb versionen arbeiten,deshalb überlegen wir ein update auf 2.0.6.
ich habe auch schon viel hier über updates gelesen, und dazu auch viele unterschiedliche aussagen gehört.

könnt ihr mir bitte sagen, wie ich nun am besten vorgehe um auf 2.0.6 upzudaten, dabei aber die mods weiter laufen und das design auch so bleibt wie es ist?
irgendwie blick ich vor lauter infos nicht mehr durch

schonmal danke im voraus...hatte bisher hier immer einen hervorragenden support. das ist ja wirklich nicht selbstverständlich heutzutage.

da du mods eingebaut hast, ist es besser, das board manuell up-to-daten. wenn du shell zugriff zu deinem server hast (wovon ich mal nicht ausgehe), ginge das noch schneller

habs selbst auch noch nicht mit der patchfile gemacht. laut anleitung;
- patchfiles downloaden (http://www.dphpbb.de/download.php)
- benötigtes patch auf den server in den phpbb-root ordner kopieren und in der shell mit dem befehl patch -cl -d [PHPBB DIRECTORY] -p1 < [PATCH NAME] ausführen.

7.iii. Patch file
The patch file is probably the best solution for those with many Mods or other changes who do not want to re-add them back to all the changed files. To use this you will need command line access to a standard UNIX type patch application.

A number of patch files are provided to allow you to upgrade from previous stable releases. Select the correct patch, e.g. if your current version is 2.0.2 you need the phpBB-2.0.2_to_2.0.6.patch. Place the correct patch in the parent directory containing the phpBB 2 core files (i.e. index.php, viewforum.php, etc.). With this done you should run the following command: patch -cl -d [PHPBB DIRECTORY] -p1 < [PATCH NAME] (where PHPBB DIRECTORY is the directory name your phpBB Installation resides in, for example phpBB2, and where PATCH NAME is the relevant filename of the selected patch file). This should complete quickly, hopefully without any HUNK FAILED comments.

If you do get failures you should look at using the Changed files only package to replace the files which failed to patch, please note that you will need to manually re-add any Mods to these particular files. Alternatively if you know how you can examine the .rej files to determine what failed where and make manual adjustments to the relevant source.

You should of course delete the patch file (or files) after use. As for the other upgrade procedures you should run install/update_to_206.php after you have finished updating the files. This will update your database schema and data (if appropriate) and increment the version number.

hmmm, verstehe ich nicht. wie würde das denn dann gehen mit dem shell zugriff?

und sonst muss ich echt für jeden update auf die nächste version das alles von hand editieren??? finde ich denn in den dateien die ganzen zeilen wieder? ich meine es könnte doch sein, dass ein mod schon solche zeilen geändert hat, oder?

warum muss ich denn dann von hand erst von 2.0.3 auf 2.0.4 und dann von 2.0.4 auf 2.0.5, usw...kann man nicht direkt von 2.0.3 auf 2.0.6???

Deswegen macht man vor einem Update (egal wie man es macht) auch immer ein Backup .

Tyler: In den manuellen Updateanleitung sind immer nur die Upadteschritte von der letzten Version drin. Man könnte alles auch in eine einzige schreiben, nur so muss man nicht für jede Version ne Anleitung schreiben. ja, hab ich schon gelesen, danke!
allerdings ist das bischen irrtümlich. ich habe ja 2.0.3, also muss ich bei der auswahl auf "älter als 2.0.6 (von php.com) wählen?

dan steht bei fortgeschrittenen: lade dir ein phpbb-2.0.6-patch Archiv runter. aber welches?

dann soll man damit die vorhandenen dateien überschreiben. sind dann nicht auch alle mods überschrieben?

wie öffne ich eine konsole?
