Erfahrung mit InnoDB & phpBB ?

Ich habe mal in der my.cnf meines Servers InnoDB aktiviert:
Nach dem Neustart hat Mysql die InnoDB Dateien angelegt.
Die Tabellen eines Testforums habe ich noch mit ALTER TABLE ... ENGINE = INNODB; umgestellt.
Die DB ist von >350MB auf 1,2GB gewachsen.
Ich möchte wissen ob die InnoDB für große phpBBs besser und schneller ist. Und generell die Vor und Nachteile.
Ich konnte bisher noch keinen Unterschied feststellen.
Bis auf, das der Server-RAM von 2GB jetzt voll belegt ist.
Hat jemand noch Erfahrung auf dem Gebiet?
