Ich lese das so aus dem Posting auf phpbb.com heraus, gefragt war ja nicht die Definition sondern die Erklärung eben dieser da es Unklarheiten bezgl. der copyrights im Code gab.

da wir uns hier anscheinend alle nicht so wirklich sicher sind, würde ich doch mal einen admin oder supporter bitten uns das genauer zu erklären

Was ist den unklar?

Der für die Benutzer sichtbare Copyright-Hinweis darf entfernt werden. (der aus dem Footer)
Alle anderen Copyright-Hinweise im Code müssen drin bleiben.
(das wurde zwar schonmal gesagt aber wenn Du's unbedingt nochmal hören willst)

As you neither asked for nor received permission to use the Work as the
basis for said photographs nor to make or distribute copies, including
electronic copies, of same, I believe you have wilfully infringed our rights
under 17 U.S.C. Section 101 et seq. and could be liable for statutory
damages as high as US$150,000 as set forth in Section 504(c)(2) therein.

You would also be in breech of your webhost's AUP http://www.net-hoster.de/
whom have to comply with the European Union Copyright Directive, available

Also, es steht doch auch in den regeln zum Copyright entfernen:

aha aber ist diese mail jetzt echt und was genau bedeutet sie, ich versteh nur, dass es irgendwas mit copyright zu tun hat und das man da strafe zahlen muss, wenn mans nicht ändert

Könnt ihr alle nicht lesen, in der Mail geht es doch um Bilder und nicht um phpBB?
