Linux Laptop und Phpbb

Hallo. ich wollte gerade dass Forum auf meinen Laptop installieren.
Zuvor habe ich Apache, Php4 und Mysql installiert.
Sobald ich jetzt allerdings dass Forum installieren will, kommt folgender fehler:

phpBB : Critical Error

Could not connect to the database


Dabei kann ich mit phpMyAdmin auf die Datenbanken zugreifen...

woran liegt dass?

Hast du denn bei der Installation die richtigen DB Verbindungsdaten angegeben? Scheint nämlich nicht so.
Überprüf mal deine config.php dahingehend.

ich habe keinen nutzernamen und kein Passwort vbergeben (weis nicht wo)
und der Name passt auch, oder ist die ganze geschichte Case-Sensitive?

Versuche als Benutzernamen mal root.

Ok, dass habe ich jetzt erledigt, geht auch, aber ich habe noch ein problem:
Jetzt sagt er mir, es sei ein teil schreibgeschützt, aber ich habe bereits chmod 777 phpBB2/ eingegeben. Dass Forum liegt in dem Verzeichnis!
