attachment Mod update

Hallo!

Habe den attachment Mod 2.38 bei mir eingebaut und würde gerne auf 2.311 updaten.

Fragen dazu: lohnt es sich, gibts da praktische neue Funktionen?

Wie genau kann man updaten? Gibt da verschiedene packages, zB eins mit patch-files und folgender Anweisung:

Select the correct patch, e.g. if your current version is 2.3.10 you need the attach_mod-2.3.10_to_2.3.11.patch. Place the correct patch 
in the parent directory containing the phpBB 2 core files (i.e. index.php, viewforum.php, etc.). 
With this done you should run the following command: 

patch -cl -d [PHPBB DIRECTORY] -p1 < [PATCH NAME]

Was genau bedeutet das? Wo soll man diese Befehlszeile ausführen?

Frage 3: ist dieser update sicher? Oder kann es zu Komplikationen kommen?

Ich hab mich auch mal gefragt wie das geht!!! dazu braucht man aber eigenen Server mit Linux... mit meinen webspace funzt it nit!
